Lollapalooza 2025 Breaks Records with Four Legendary Days

The Lollapalooza music festival took place this weekend in Chicago, setting records with diverse artists and delighting thousands of fans. This four-day festival is one of the Windy City's most iconic traditions, and this year's edition did not disappoint.

The festival brought together stars from diverse musical genres, from rap icons like Doechii, A$AP Rocky, and Tyler, the Creator, to pop icons like Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, and Gracie Abrams. Even by Lollapalooza's astronomical standards, this event stood out as something truly special.

Lollapalooza

Lollapalooza is a music festival that has been delighting audiences since 1991. Back then, it was a traveling festival that performed in different cities each year. In 2005, Lollapalooza established Chicago's Grant Park as its permanent home. 

Lollapalooza began as a farewell tour for Perry Farrell, singer of the band Jane's AddictionThe concert was so successful that it became an annual event, gaining popularity and various accolades until it reached the legendary status it has today. On average, Lollapalooza welcomes 400,000 fans each year. 

Lollapalooza includes four days of events featuring different artists, from Thursday to Sunday. These are the artists who made the biggest impact on each day of this year's Lollapalooza:

Thursday – Rap, Country and Indie Pop

Iconic rapper Tyler the Creator headlined Thursday's show on the stage of T-Mobile. Country singer Luke Combs supported him on stage. Bud LightGracie Abrams also performed Thursday, offering an emotional contrast to the evening's energy.

Friday – Olivia Rodrigo and Heavy Metal

Olivia Rodrigo broke records on the stage of T-Mobile, attracting an impressive number of fans with songs like Driver's License and Deva vu. The metal group Korn accompanied her on the stage Bud Light. Legends of the music scene such as Foster from People and T-Pain rounded out Friday's lineup.

Saturday - K-Pop at Lollapalooza?

Starting the weekend in explosive fashion, Rüfüs du Sol, an Australian alternative band, performed on the stage of T-MobileThey were accompanied by a group whose inclusion generated a lot of interest: Twice surprised audiences by becoming the first female K-Pop group to headline a Lollapalooza concert. Saturday was a busy day: also featuring performances by famed artist Doechii and Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko. 

Sunday – “Do you Remember, the 21st Night of September?”

To conclude a weekend like no other, Sabrina Carpenter performed at the T-Mobile Stage. His concert went viral when the singer invited to one of Chicago's most legendary bands, Earth, Wind and Fire, to join them on stage. The band played two songs with Carpenter, including his most iconic song September.

Without a doubt, this Lollapalooza will be remembered as one of the best.
