Al-Qaeda leader Sa'ad Bin Atef Al-Awlaki appeared in a video lasting approximately 34 minutes, inciting viewers to take "revenge" against those he holds responsible for US support for Israel. In a threatening tone, he stated: “Do not consult anyone about killing infidel Americans,” a phrase that has set off alarm bells in intelligence and national security agencies in the United States.
Among the names mentioned are the president Donald Trump, the vice president JD Vance, the Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the Secretary of Defense Peter Hegseth and the businessman Elon Musk. Whom he called “the scum of the Earth” and “the biggest criminals.”
The video includes images of the aforementioned individuals, as well as institutions such as the US Senate, Microsoft, and other defense-related companies, which al-Awlaki called "legitimate targets." He also called for attacks on military bases, technology companies, critical infrastructure, and Arab leaders, whom he called "traitors."
The video does not mention figures or make a direct appeal to all Muslims in the United States, as some rumors have spread on social media.
So far, no incidents related to this statement have been reported.
