The iconic heavy metal band has transformed the concert into an immersive experience that combines cutting-edge technology with live music, bringing fans closer than ever to every riff and drum beat. Apple announced that starting Friday, Apple Vision Pro users will be able to enjoy a high-resolution 180-degree video concert with immersive spatial audio. The concert features classics like “Whiplash,” “One,” and “Enter Sandman.”


Recorded during the final sold-out show of the M72 tour last year, the performance captures the full energy of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo on a stage specially designed for this technology.

Tor Myhren, Apple's vice president of marketing communications, emphasized that this experience offers fans a unique connection with Metallica, one of the greatest bands of all time. To achieve this, 14 immersive cameras, including moving cameras, captured every detail of the performance.
