Saint Blessed Aybar-Aybar, a 49-year-old Dominican citizen, pleaded guilty on June 16 to illegally reentering the United States after having been deported three times. He currently faces up to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $1,400,000, and three years of supervised release. His sentencing is scheduled for September 11, 2025, in federal court in Massachusetts.
Aybar-Aybar was last deported on September 21, 2021, but re-entered the country without inspection or legal admission.
The ICE Boston He posted his photo and stated that once his sentence is served, he will be permanently deported again. Patricia H. Hyde, acting director of Enforcement and Removal Operations in Boston, stated:
“Saint Blessed Aybar-Aybar demonstrated repeated disregard for immigration laws… ICE Boston will continue to prioritize public safety by arresting and deporting undocumented offenders.”

ICE Boston reinforced its public position by releasing an image of Aybar-Aybar and indicated that they are waiting to permanently deport him after he completes his sentence. They insisted they will continue their efforts to arrest and deport immigrants who enter the New England region illegally.
U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley and Director Patricia Hyde announced that the case was filed by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts, with U.S. Attorney Eric L. Hawkins leading the prosecution. Aybar-Aybar was arrested on March 23, 2025, following the indictment in April.
