The Berklee Summer in the City concert series returns this summer for its 20th edition, bringing live music and vibrant energy to various Boston neighborhoods with free public performances from June through September.
Live Summer with Music
Since its inception in 2005, Berklee Summer in the City has established itself as one of Boston's most important summer cultural initiatives. The series features more than 200 performances in public spaces throughout the city, including the Boston Public Library, Kendall Square, and the Prudential Center.
These outdoor concerts showcase the talents of Berklee College of Music students, faculty, and alumni to enrich the lives of everyone, even those who simply pass by. Guest artists perform a wide variety of genres, including jazz, Latin music, hip-hop, and classical.
A Learning Experience
Berklee Summer in the City also represents a learning opportunity for the institution's student artists. Participants gain hands-on experience in areas such as event production, live sound, and artist management. This educational approach turns each performance into an outdoor classroom.
Through collaboration with community organizations like the City of Boston Parks and Recreation Department, Berklee has expanded the reach of its series and made art accessible to everyone, enriching our daily lives.
The 2025 season of Berklee Summer in the City It will take place from June 5th to August 28th. Concerts are scheduled at different times and locations.
