On Saturday, September 13, 2025, St. Peter's Square was transformed into a historic stage for music and spirituality. On the celebratory evening of the event Grace for the World, which closed the Third World Meeting on Human Fraternity, Carola Giraldo (Karol G) performed a set that blended her urban style with songs with a universal message before thousands of attendees and a global audience.
The concert was free and open to the public, and also featured internationally renowned figures such as Pharrell Williams, John Legend, Andrea Bocelli, and Jennifer Hudson, among others. It also included a stunning visual display: more than 3,000 drones lit up the Roman sky with images inspired by the frescoes of the Sistine Chapel.
Karol G performed within a diverse lineup that sought to highlight the universality of art, faith, and commitment to peace. Her participation not only broke new ground by bringing urban sounds to the heart of Christianity, but also became a symbol of cultural dialogue and spirituality.
Birthday and anniversary of Pope Leo XIV
Yesterday, September 14, Pope Leo XIV turned 70. He also celebrated his first anniversary as leader of the Catholic Church, having been elected on May 8, 2025.
During the Angelus, he thanked the faithful for their messages and prayers and remembered his parents with gratitude. Thousands of people gathered in St. Peter's Square, waving flags and raising banners to congratulate him. As part of today's agenda, he will preside over a ceremony dedicated to the martyrs of the 21st century in the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls.
