Coldplay's concert in Boston on July 16th featured not only music, lights, and excitement, but also an unexpected corporate scandal. Andy Byron, CEO of the tech company Astronomer, was caught on kiss cam alongside his HR director, Kristin Cabot, in a scene that quickly went viral and has put his personal and professional life in jeopardy.

An awkward moment in front of thousands of spectators

During the show at Gillette Stadium, the camera focused on Byron and Cabot embracing in their VIP seats. Vocalist Chris Martin, unaware of who it was focusing on, joked to the audience:

“Either they are having an affair or they are very shy.”.

The couple responded visibly uncomfortable, and both tried to hide while the stadium laughed. The moment was recorded by attendees and quickly became a trend on social networks like TikTok and X, where it was dubbed “the most viral affair of the year”.

Secret love or simple coincidence?

Kristin Cabot, who was previously listed as Astronomer's HR director, removed all references to the company from her LinkedIn profile following the incident. Andy Byron, for his part, also disappeared from the professional network. Neither has made any public statements.

The most striking development came hours later: Byron's wife, Megan Kerrigan, removed her last name from social media and then deactivated her Facebook account, sparking rumors of a possible separation.

Divorce on the way? The consequences could be millions.

According to media such as BollywoodShaadis and India Mint, the CEO could face a costly divorce. Although no official figures are available, Astronomer is valued at over $1.2 billion, and Byron holds one of the most lucrative executive chairs in the data and analytics industry.

In the event of a divorce, depending on the marital status and shared assets, compensation could reach millions of dollars, especially if there is no prenuptial agreement.

Tense work environment and mockery on social media

Former employees and industry figures have reacted sarcastically to the scandal. One former employee told the New York Post Byron was known for being a “toxic” and difficult boss. Meanwhile, the Seattle Mariners baseball team joined in on the jokes by offering their catcher, nicknamed “Big Dumper,” to “improve his aim” on the kiss cam.

Official silence

So far, neither Astronomer nor Andy Byron has issued an official statement. The company, known for its work with Apache Airflow and data orchestration tools, has also remained silent in the face of the media hype.

What's next?

The future of Byron's marriage, his position at Astronomer, and the company's stability are in question. The video continues to circulate with millions of views, and for many, Coldplaygate 2025 is already one of the biggest corporate scandals of the year.
